If you like to train in the morning or have a hard day in front of you, here’s a healthy breakfast recipe to fuel you through to lunch.
Oats are a slow-releasing carbohydrate helping you stay fuller for longer; they are also high in fibre which is great for digestion. And simply stirring in some protein powder can go a long way towards hitting your protein goal for the day and help to repair your muscles after a workout.
1 scoop of protein powder (we like chocolate!);
½ tsp Cinnamon;
½ apple, thinly sliced or grated;
450ml of milk of choice / water;
1. Add the oats, apple, cinnamon and milk/water to a pan and gently heat, stirring frequently;
2. Cook for about 5 minutes until it’s as thick as you like it;
3. Remove from heat, stir in the protein powder and top with blueberries.
Provides: 403 kcal; 27g Protein; 47g carbs; 10g fat.
