I first joined The Fitting Rooms whilst training for the 2016 Boston Bhangra Competition, one of the biggest international Bhangra competitions in America. I was a little bit apprehensive about weight training at first, but after my initial Taster with Yas I knew that the well thought out training programmes provided by TFR would be the perfect addition to my training regime – and they really were. I trained 2-3 times a week on the Shared personal training programme in the lead up to my competition and very quickly noticed a significant difference in my strength, tone and stamina. The best thing I’ve done for my fitness
I started training at The Fitting Rooms in October 2018 and without a doubt its the best thing I’ve done for my fitness, strength and general wellbeing. I’m down 12kgs and I’ve lost 15cms around my waist!
“Get in better shape” has always been a new year’s resolution. I’d sign a 12-month contract with a corporate gym, lose interest by February, then be locked into a contract I wasn’t using. The Fitting Rooms is different. After a month of sessions I started to look forward to going. Me… look forward to gym… that was a first. Then I started noticing results; another first, since I’d never stuck with anything long enough for that to happen. The whole vibe and ethos is different to anything I’d ever experienced in the fitness world. The trainers are friendly and encouraging. I started training at The Fitting Rooms when I was around 12 weeks pregnant with my twins. I had always trained but was keen to get some expert prenatal training support given this was my first pregnancy and I was unsure what I should / shouldn’t be doing. I had also undergone fertility treatment to conceive so I was a little bit more cautious but knew that I wanted to remain strong and healthy throughout my pregnancy both for me and the babies. It was honestly one of the best decisions I made. They were knowledgeable and supportive – I felt in very safe hands. The workouts were challenging but so enjoyable – I really looked forward to our sessions each week. I have been able to lift heavier week on week…
I have been training with Yas since June 2014, during which time I have seen my strength and fitness massively increase. Yas has a wealth of knowledge and a real passion and love for fitness and strength training. She approaches our sessions with such consistency and attention to detail. Under her expert eye, I have been able to lift heavier week on week, which is really rewarding, whilst still maintaining a strict program and improving my form. I have learnt so much over the past year; my confidence on the gym floor is such that I don’t think twice about setting up a squat rack or knocking out a few deadlifts. I dropped 2 dress sizes in 4 months…
Super friendly and very effective. I dropped 2 dress sizes in 4 months (I did stop eating carbs at night) and had a great time doing it. The only reason I’m not still going is because I’m moving offices and I just pray I can find somewhere that comes close to TFR. The shared sessions worried me at first as was scared there would be super fit people in the same group and it would be an issue but you’re only training against yourself and it always worked out well.
